First, thanks so much for being a Squad Depth subscriber and supporter.

After a couple of misfires, this newsletter got going in July 2023. While I am still not 100% sure what I am doing, it’s been a lot of fun putting together stories, articles, interviews, and analysis on the beautiful game. And there’s more to come.

Second, due to some concerns about how Substack is being run, I have decided to shift where Squad Depth is being hosted. Having been inspired by newsletters like The Black Sportswoman, I have decided to move to Ghost. The new S.D. site is here.

You do not have to do anything. Your email should have seamlessly migrated to the new newsletter platform, and if you are a paid subscriber you should also have been migrated into being a paid subscriber tier who will receive exclusive content and inside info in 2024.

Finally, the 2024 W Gold Cup is on the horizon and I’m going to be in Houston, Texas for all of Group B featuring Canada, Costa Rica, Paraguay, and El Salvador or Guatemala.
